I have been mailing to sweden for clinical and research postings at various hospitals. But it seems it is very difficult to get into EU as a doctor, for a non EU citizen. One thing is the language. I will need to prove my linguistic skill for that country by clearing the exam. Then i'll need the work permit. I am not sure how to get the second step.
But then, 2 days ago i was asked to take a class for ophthalmic assistants. and then i got the idea that why not ttry for a post as ophthalmic assisstant. It would definitely be much simpler to enter the western world as an OA with my qualifications. I discussed this idea with dean, the italian-american chap from New York. He said that it would be very easy, though he would not recommend it. But the idiot doesn't know how difficult it is for us bloody indians to get even the visa to enter any western world. I got to enter a develope country with some job, no matter what the pay is.

So today i went to internet full of optimism. i got the list of top 15 eye hospitals in the US. But as i searched more and more, i realized that there is no acess even via internet to apply for a job. Things are not easy. But this is only the beginning of my struggle and determination. There is a whole big world out there.
